Our office provides a full range of dental treatments, including preventive, basic restorative, full mouth reconstruction, implants, oral surgery, periodontal therapy, root canal therapy, TMJ, and cosmetic dentistry.
Preventive Dentistry
Preventive dentistry is our goal for every patient. We start with a comprehensive examination for every patient. We examine their teeth, gums and bone. The bite is evaluated for signs of bruxism and premature wear of the teeth. The last part of our examination is a head and neck oral cancer screening. It is important to remember that preventive dentistry involves daily care, good nutrition, and periodic check-ups and cleanings to maintain good dental health. Preventive dentistry may not be where we start with every patient, but it's where we like to finish.
Restorative Dentistry
Restorative dentistry is basic repair of the mouth. We replace broken or leaking fillings, treat decayed teeth, build crowns and bridges, fit partial and full dentures, and realign your bite. Many of our simple restorative procedures can usually be performed with virtually no pain, no vibration, and no need for anesthetic.
Our goal in restorative dentistry is a simple one: to help you keep all your teeth for a lifetime.
Oral Surgery
Oral Surgery: In our office, we are equipped to deal with most types of extractions. In those situations where the patient is medically compromised or the possibility of complications could arise, we refer our patients to one of several oral surgeons with whom we are associated.
Periodontal Therapy
Periodontal Therapy: We provide a full range of periodontal services from basic cleanings, and root planning and scaling (deep cleanings) to gum surgery.
Root Canal Therapy
Root Canal Therapy : We do the majority of root canal cases in our office. Due to the improvement in technology root canal procedures become more simplified and faster. This results in a more comfortable procedure for the patient and less time in the chair.
Dental Implants
Implants: Implants have become a welcomed addition to the restorative options that we can offer patients. Not that long ago, patients with missing teeth who could not have a bridge placed would have had to settle for a removable partial denture or a full denture. Patients now do not have to deal with having a removable appliance in their mouth. Implants can be used to replace missing teeth or to secure an unstable denture.
Full Mouth Reconstruction
Full Mouth Reconstruction:One of the most rewarding challenges that we face is restoring the deteriorated dentition. An individual with a compromised dentition can suffer from an inadequate ability to chew, low self -esteem, pain or discomfort, and TMJ. To return a patient to a state of normal function, free of pain and a radiant smile is truly an accomplishment to be proud of. A full mouth reconstruction can involve all the disciplines of dentistry as discussed above and sometimes even orthodontics and orthognathic surgery (surgical repositioning of the bones).
Cosmetic dentistry
Cosmetic dentistry has come of age with new materials and procedures that make a beautiful smile accessible to everyone. The advances in tooth bonding agents, and porcelains has made it possible to conservatively (with little tooth preparation) bond thin shells of porcelain to teeth. Restorations such as porcelain veneers and porcelain jacket crowns and onlays not only dramatically change one's smile but can actually enhance one's self confidence and self esteem.
